How do you conduct mock interviews?
Virtual mock interviews are conducted on Zoom. Once you choose a date and time for your mock interview you will receive a calendar invite with a Zoom link. Click the Zoom link roughly 5 minutes before the start of your scheduled interview time. After the mock interview is finished we dedicate 15 minutes of time to provide verbal feedback.
What type of a mock interview is this?
This is a traditional one-on-one mock interview. Most schools still use this interview to get to know applicants better and they can range from 30 minutes all the way up to an hour. Typical questions can include why medicine, what are your weaknesses, ethical scenarios in medicine, and more. The main goal during this interview is to see whether an applicant would make a good fit for a particular institution based on their values and mission in medicine.
